云深之处有人家 The Nomad - Penan

不知道那个年代开始

本南人就住在这片森林里

外界称他为游牧民族

他们其实不放牧

居无定所

狩猎采果为生

森林是他们的粮仓

森林是他们的故乡

生活在云雾飘渺的深山

这里没有闹市喧嚣

没有争权夺利

爾虞我诈的人事纠纷

他们懂得分享

人人为我

我为人人

日子平淡

心中却踏实

乐在其中

不记得什么时候

重型机械开进这片与世无争的森林

伐木

据说是要增加国家的财富

伐木

据说是要本南人接近文明

伐木

据说是让本南人生活得更好

然而

森林没了

猎物野果也减少了

河流受到污染

鱼也随着消失

守护在深山云雾中的本南人

生存条件受到影响

他们何去何从

是否还有明天？

From time immemorial

They live in the jungle

Roam free to hunt for foods

They are Penan

The nomad

Jungle is their home

Free from the hustle and bustle of life in the city

They live a simple life

But they are happy and contented

They lean to share

And they take care of each other

All hell broke loose

When the heavy machines and tractors came into their home

Logging started in a big way

Loggers said cutting down trees for wood could make the country rich

Cutting down trees can improve Penan’s lives

Cutting down trees can bring the Penan into the modern world

But when forest was destroyed

Penan can no longer hunt

Rivers too were polluted

Penan can no longer fish

They are caught in dilemma

Jungle still remain as home

But their livelihood is already badly affected

Is there tomorrow for Penan

Is there future for the son of the jungle?

敢问路在何方？The Long and Winding Road

有许多关于路的名言警句，随手拈来：“路是人走出来的”，“天无绝人之路”，“敢问路在何方”，“路遥知马力”等。消极的也不少：“走头无路”，“死路一条”和“无路”！

路也是人类联系最古老和最有效的方法；路也是经济发展最基本的条件。中国改革开放有句话：“若要富，先造路”，可见路的重要。

这几年拍摄风光所体会的是：好的景色往往出现在崎岖和陡峭的路上。这次去西藏阿里拍摄就是好例子，好的景点不是在拉萨市，而是在最艰苦和最缺氧离市区3，4千公里外！

同样的，人生的成功幸福之路往往也是一条崎岖陡峭之路！与大家共勉。

In Chinese language, there are many words or phrases associated with ROAD. Among the most common one are: road is made by human footsteps, there is always a road (way) for those who are optimistic, the strength of the horse is measured after a long and winding road etc. Some of the phrases are negative like: no road, death road etc!

But road connect people, like it or not, road is also a prerequisite for economic development as you can see what have happened in China.

For me, good landscape pictures are always found in the end of a long and winding road, at least this is the experience during my recent shooting trip in Tibet-Ali.

Similarly, the success and happiness in life are normally found after a long and precipitous winding road.

上学去 Penan Kids Going to School

大卫是一位年龄约7岁的本南小孩，住在内陆Baram 县的森林里。每天上学他必须赤脚步行约2公里的泥泞小径和过条小河。他和另两名小孩在一位妇女陪同下，8时才到来这所唯一的小学，其他同学已上课了。

学校员工为他们洗干净脚上的污泥和身上的汗水，再换上校服才进去课室。

我很感动看到这一幕，在这样的地方当教职员真不容易！

David is a Penan boy aged 7, who live in the interior of the Baram district in Sarawak. He walked barefooted for about 2 km on a muddy path and across a river to the only primary school in the vicinity.

Upon arrival, the staff in the school washed his feet, changed him with clean school uniform before ushered him to the classroom. I was touched to see this. It is no easy to serve in the rural schools!

参天古树

在整理旧照片时，无意看到这张在暹粒吴哥的一所寺庙废墟里所拍摄的照片。这是一棵长在废墟石缝里的参天老树，我从低角度拍摄，在蓝天白云下，老树更显得有劲和正能量。

《真，善，美》三個字用來形容拿督韩春錦的新攝影畫冊《天地有大美》真是恰到好處。

以真誠的心來表達畫境，令讀者對這些寫實的作品有如身歷其境，感同身受，一點也沒有虛偽做作的感覺。

以善意的心來拍攝這些自然純樸的景色，希望據此喚起人們對環保的意識，並加以愛護。

以個人的耐心與毅力，融化個人的創造能力，捕捉了這美麗迷人的景色，描出一片大美的畫境，令人念念不忘。

在此我要恭喜拿督韓春錦成功的制作了這本大家讚賞的好書。
